Join The Quell Foundation in Celebrating the 4th Annual Masquerade Ball

Each year in November, The Quell Foundation, its friends, and supporters gather to celebrate the special message of The Foundation's annual masquerade ball: lift the mask and remove the stigma on mental health. Thanks largely in part from special events such as this one, The Quell Foundation has distributed over $1.3 million in scholarships to students in nearly every state.

This event is the culmination of our team's tireless efforts to remove the stigma of mental health once and for all. Your support of this event will:

Provide scholarships for the next generation of mental health care professionals.
Fund more screenings of our signature documentary Lift the Mask: Portraits of Life with Mental Illness, across the country.
Spearhead production of The Foundation's upcoming documentary on the first responder community.

The evening will include a silent and live auction, led by Philadelphia's own Jeff Hammond, a professional emcee, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania licensed auctioneer. The evening will conclude with dancing and live music, thanks to the Eddie Bruce Orchestra, one of the most sought-after bands in Philadelphia and rated 5 stars on Philadelphia's WeddingWire.com.

The Quell Foundation is honored to bring the following speakers to this event to speak about their lived experiences with mental health, destigmatization, and hope.

Elizabeth Spayd: Spayd is the former New York Times public editor and currently a consultant for Facebook in their efforts against cyberterrorism and misinformation. Her past work includes editor of the Columbia Journalism Review and managing editor at The Washington Post.
Amaris Kobolak: Communications Chair of The Quell Foundation Jr. Board of Director, Ms. Kobolak is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania class of 2017 where she was also a member of the Track and Field program.
